The Bond - Chapter 1The post van was vibrating hard. It was an old model, out-of-date for nearly twenty years, but at least it had a hydrogen engine. In the mail compartment were several piles of crates, sorted in order of delivery, and on top of one of these piles, there was a box.The Bond - Chapter 1 by ~Bahogar
This box had something special. Indeed, it was the next on the delivering list of the driver, although it was completely unaware of it. We don't say these things to a box, you know. Anyway - it was laying there, wrapped in plastic in the colors of the sending company, with a sticker bearing the recipient's address on its top, shaken by the bumps of the road in the back of the van, dimly lit by two small lights.
The vehicle slowed, then stopped, and the engine noise and the vibrations that shook it stopped abruptly. After a few moments, the rear doors were opened, and the bright light of a spring morning entered the compartment. Two hands grabbed the box and picked it up. The Box Bearer carried it on a paved path that crossed a

The golden dragon stared from his high perch; mesmerized by the sheer beauty of the new day. The amber colored sun glistened over the golden sky to cascade a warming embrace over the plains of vibrant green that lay strewn before him. The dragon smiled. His scales rustled while it basked in the comforting warmth. His happiness manifested into a soft, rumbling purr.
The golden city of Haburh lay behind him in the distance. The city itself was nestled at the fork of a great river that was made of pure silver. These lands were special and for many reasons; the most being that humans and metallic dragons lived amongst each other in a peaceful co-existence. This peace did not always use to be however.
The golden dragon dipped his head slightly in remorse. Even among the sounds of bustling crowds and beating wings; his mind fixated itself on a single moment of his past that haunts him even to this day. He closed his eyes. The elegant winds blew among his glittering sca

Den took the wad of small banknotes the owner handed him. Without a word, he shoved it into his pocket and turned around, going away from the line of people still waiting for their wages.
Den was a young man of 17 years, strong enough for his age. The only industry that was really doing well here was the tourism, and tourists carefully avoided areas where natives lived. Few children went to school, the unemployment rate was one of the highest in the world, the black market and gangs were part of everyday life. To survive, Den looked for small jobs a

Contest Theme and Info's.
Allright, two days are over and since noone voted in the last 10 hours, I'll close the voting. It was very close, but the first Theme
Write a story and/or draw something related to my painting "Soulmates Never Die"
won! For all who voted for the second, don't be sad. If this contest works well then maybe I'll think about making another one day (:
Since this theme is a bit more complicated, there are some things to say about it.
- First, it has to be a new deviation that you submit to this contest, I won't accept older one's. Though with one exception. If you wrote a story about this painting before and you were inspired by it then you may submit an older deviation. But if the painting was not the base for your story and just fit's the theme, then I won't accept it. I'd recommend n
